Kerala Company Builds Largest Solar Ferry in the Country
The backwaters of Kerala will soon be equipped with a solar ferry which is commercially viable. The initial cost of the solar ferry will be more than the conventional diesel ferry of the same capacity, but the costs are expected to be made up in two to three years saving on the annual fuel and engine maintenance costs in the case of diesel ferries.
