Penguin Swims 5000 Miles Regularly to Meet Rescuer
Joao Pereira de Souza, Brazil, found the tiny South American Magellanic penguin, covered in oil and close to death on his local beach in 2011. He cleaned the penguin’s feathers, fed him fish to build his strength and then released him back to the sea. The penguin now visits its rescuer regularly from its possible home in another country.
