Environmental Disaster in Chile: Chiloe En Crisis
The fishermen and Chiloe locals suspect the dumping of decaying salmon in March is related to the wave of die-offs that happened in April. Chiloe residents say they’ve never witnessed anything like it and that there aren’t enough people to clean up all the dead fish. The Chilean government declared the area a “zone of imminent health risk”.
