San Francisco Bans Styrofoam in Big Environmental Win
In 2007, San Francisco banned plastic shopping bags, in 2014, the city banned plastic water bottles on city properties. A new ordinance ban all uses of styrofoam: packing peanuts, packaging for food, coolers, and more, as a part of the city’s zero-waste initiative requiring all citizens to recycle and compost everything possible by 2020.
