This Kenyan Woman-Only Village Is for Survivors of Violence
Umoja, the documented single-sex community village in Kenya, which started out as a refuge for women who survived sexual violence, has now opened its doors for women who have gone through any form of violence. The women run a clinic and a school, make money by breadmaking and supplement their income by running a campsite for tourists.
