Why is Kiwifruit from Arunachal Pradesh Sold With Foreign Labels?
India imports 4,000 tonnes of kiwi fruit from New Zealand, Italy and Chile. But Arunachal Pradesh grows kiwi fruit as well and sells at 30 per cent lower, but still no takers. Although the distributors started selling them under a foreign label to gain higher price, Arunachal’s kiwi farmers still don’t benefit from it.
