Villagers in Hyderabad Pump up Water from 6,000-year-old Bore Wells

Groundwater is considered water for future generations, but the wide drought has brought on a global trend of sucking up groundwater through very deep bore wells. Scientists at the National Geophysical Research Institute, as part of a study, have found that in some parts of Hyderabad, people are sucking up groundwater that has been in the deep pockets of the earth upto 6000 years.
