Assam Tea Gardens Create Wild Life Shelters
Man-animal conflicts are on the rise in Assam tea gardens, because many animals displaced from the forests now take refuge in the tea gardens. With a rise in the numbers of casualties on both sides, a tea company has tied up with World Wildlife Fund (WWF)-India to set up a habitat for animals and reduce human-animal conflict in their tea estates.
