Native Actors Leave Movie Set After Insults to Women, Elders
In a act of dignity and protest against misrepresentation of indigenous cultures, Native actors and actresses, and the Native cultural advisor, who were primarily from the Navajo nation, abandoned a movie set. They say the satirical western movie’s script has repeatedly insulted native women and elders and grossly misrepresented Apache culture.
