Prosecuted for Defending Migrant Workers in Thailand
Instead of addressing the allegations, a Thai pineapple company brought a case of criminal defamation and computer crimes against Andy Hall, after a report he wrote which alleged worker abuse and slavery-like practices by the firm. Migrant workers, who make up 10 percent of the workforce in Thailand, continue to suffer from human rights abuses.
