Get Students or Get Fired, Says Management to Professors
Lecturers in many private engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu are scouting for students, failing which they are threatened with pay cuts. Recently, a private college in Chennai fired around 100 faculty members for not getting admissions for the institution. The management had fixed a target of at least 5 admissions per staff into any department.
