Criminals Kidnap Whale Sharks, International Team Frees Them
Indonesia's Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, with support from the international Wildlife Crimes Unit, busted a high-level criminal ring operation that had captured two 40-foot long whale sharks. The illegal wildlife trade is a multibillion-dollar industry that turns wild plants and animals into souvenirs, pets, and medicine.
