Domestic Adoptions in India Hit a Five-Year Low

Despite a burgeoning population of children in need of care and protection and the new adoption guidelines to push domestic adoptions in India, the numbers have dropped by half hitting a five-year low with only 3,011 children being adopted by Indian parents this year. But, adoptions by foreigners has risen to 666 children this year.
