The Lendi irrigation project between Maharashtra and Telangana, that will irrigate 49,000 hectares of land, has been languishing in an unfinished state for the past 30 years. The delay is because of prolonged land acquisition, rehabilitation and resettlement of the displaced families, who are stalling the project demanding fair compensation.
