Turkey's First Lady Holds Iftar for Refugees
First Lady Emine Erdogan of Turkey invited dozens Syrian refugees to Iftar, during Ramadan. Since Syria’s civil war broke out in 2011, around 400,000 people have died, 5 million refugees have fled the country, and another 6.6 million are internally displaced. Turkey, which shares a long border with Syria, has taken in around 3 million refugees.
